Q: How is the material? Is it stretchy? Can I wear it in hot weather?

The material is stretchy and high quality I bought it for a cruise and I can say that my dress was one of the prettiest ones. Since it is not lined, it would be fine for hot weather.

Q: What color is the lace, gold or silver?

It is GOLD no matter what color the dress is.

Q: Is there a slit in the dress? I’m worried the shape won’t allow much movement.

No, there is no slit but from knees down there’s enough flare out to allow you to walk and sit comfortably

Q: I’m 5’4, is it easy to hemmed the dress and putting on high heels shoes?

I’m 5’7” and the dress was plenty long on me. It would be a very easy to have the dress hemmed though, the seams at the bottom are simple and the fabric is flexible.

Q: Has anyone removed the sheer top portion? How did it fit after?

I removed it for my daughter and it still holds up without slipping down. This dress has good stretch. You can remove the sheer easily with a seam ripper.
